THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MATERNITY FOR WOMAN'S SEXUAL IDENTITY
Definition: In the past the woman was defined as able to give birth and to be a mother. To be a mother supposed to be a natural gift. Her essential duty was to take care for reproduction. The society dictates a woman to be a mother, a housewife, a wife in the meantime the man is a worker, a husband and father – in this order. Therefore, to become a mother means to become a real woman for most women even in present. Motherhood is treated as the basis of women's sexual identity. However, the opportunity to become a mother is not given to all women. Many women feel as they are not equal member of society, which emphasizes the importance of familiy with children. Through the socialization woman learns that having a child is her duty and because of that society separetes infertile woman from the ones with children every day.

MINUTES
THE MINUTES OF THE FIRST MEETING FOR THE PBL PROJECT
(held on 11th March, 2010 via MSN Messenger)
Presen t: Janja D., Jasmina Č., Nina P., Nastja R., Janja T.
Absent: /
AGENDA:
1. Topic discussion and selection
2. Defining the problem
3. Any other business
Item 1:
Discussion: Our first meeting started with each member proposing an idea for the topic of our PBL project. We were told that the topic should be anyhow connected with identities. Janja T. suggested that we could write about hidden identities. We all liked the idea and then Janja D. suggested to choose a more specific topic within such as hidden gender identity, for example transvestite. Jasmina's suggestion was to write about sport identity. Nastja preffered the topic of the Prekmurje identity. Nina suggested that we could write about sexual identity of a woman and focus mainly on identities of women who cannot have children. We all found idea very interesting.
Decision : After a short consulting whether we should choose the topic of hidden gender identity or sexual identity of woman we all agreed that the topic we will write about is women's sexual identity and maternity.
Item 2:
Discussion: Regarding the definition of the problem Nina suggested that we should focus mainly on sexual identity of woman that is not able to have children, since maternity represents the basis of woman's identity.
Decision: We all agreed with the given suggestion and decided that this will be our main problem.
Item 3:
Decision: We all agreed that we will look for suitable literature and other sources for our project until our next meeting.

THE MINUTES OF THE SECOND MEETING FOR THE PBL PROJECT
(held on 19th March, 2010 at Jasmina's home)
Presen t: Janja D., Jasmina Č., Nina P., Nastja R., Janja T.
Absent: /
AGENDA:
1. Action-item follow up
2. Rewriting definition
3. Forming research question
4. Forming working question
5. Preliminary list of literature
6. Any other business
Item 1:
Decision: All assignments from our previous meeting have been carried out (we all looked for appropriate literature).
Item 2:
Discussion: At the beginning of our second meeting we had to discuss how to improve the definition because our previous one was not good enough. We all agreed that definition must be more professional. Jasmina proposed that we could more about historical background and social roles. We all agreed with her proposal.
Decision: After a short literature check out we wrote improved version of our definition. We added the informations about men's and women's social roles.
Item 3:
Discussion: We discussed once more what the goal of our research is. Janja T. was not sure if it is better to research about women that cannnot have children or about women that do not want to have children. Later, we all agreed that we will stay focused on sexual identity of an infertile woman.
Decision: We formed extensive research question that covers the whole topic. We decided to research how the sexual identity of an infertile woman differs from the identity of a woman that can have children.
Item 4:
Discussion: Once we had formed our research question, we had to form approximately 10 working questions which will help us answer the research question. Each one of us suggested at least two questions. Nina suggested that we should be interested in how the woman's sexual identity is constructed and which the basic factors of the construction are. Nastja suggested we should be interested in how motherhood becomes part of a woman's sexual identity. Janja T. suggested we should also find out how important the role of church is and it's stressing the importance of familiy and maternity. Jasmina suggested to find out how women cope with their infertility and how society treats them and their infertility. At the end Janja D. suggested that we could be interested in how the infertility influence one's relationship.
Decision: After a short consulting what questions we will be interested in we made a list of 10 working questions. The list of questions can be found at the top of our Wiki page.
Item 5:
Discussion: We looked through the literature each one of us found. We choose the literature that we believe is the most proper for our topic. The list of literature can be found at the top of our wiki page below the working questions.
Decision: We formed the preliminary list of literature, which will be improved during research if necessary. The list of literature can be found at the top of our Wiki page below the working questions.

Absent: /
AGENDA:
1. Rewriting definition
2. Tasks distribution
3. Any other business
Item 1:
Discussion: We started our third meeting with rewriting of our definition which was unfortunately still not good enough. Nina reminded us that we have to write what exactly our problem that we want to solve is. Janja D. also suggested that we have to give some evidence for our prediction.
Decision: After discussion we all agreed that we will focus on the problem of society separeting infertile women from those who have children and how infertile woman cope with her infetility.
