http://sitemaker.umich.edu/conversation/files/construction-worker.jpg

In contemporary world where life expectancy is getting longer, active population is getting older and represents a new challenge for management. People have never before dealt with the problem of ageing in the labour market which today is present particularly in companies where work demands physical strength, such as civil engineering companies.

In this paper we will examine how Slovenia and some other  countries in Europe are dealing with this problem and try to compare the perception of it from employer`s and employee`s point of view.

 The working questions:

1.    What is the share of ageing workforce in SLO?

2.    What is the share of ageing workforce in EU?

3.    What is the definition of ageing according to social gereontology?

4.    How do employers cope with the problem of ageing workforce?

5.    Which tasks in civil engineering aquire vitality and physical strength?

6.    How do the employees cope with problems of ageing?

7.    How are the workers satisfied with employer´s solutions of the problem?

8.    Which consequences do employees feel?
