MIGRATIONS: COMMUTING IN SLOVENIA - daily and work migration

Daily work migration is a contemporary phenomenon. It is closely related with infrastructural progress and the development of transport. It is a global issue also present in Slovenia. The biggest problem of daily migrants is that they spend too much time on the road and are consequently subjected to stressful situations. It also causes tensions in their everyday life, which can lead to health-related problems.

Research questions:

1. What are migrations? (Angelina)

2. What is commuting? (Angelina)

3. What are the main reasons for daily migrations? (Ana J.)

Minutes of the first meeting

Agenda:

 1. Proposing a group name

2. Distribution of tasks
3. Setting a date of next meeting
4. Any other business

Item 1

Discussion: We did not have any problems deciding about the name of our group. Angelina proposed the name and we all agreed.

Decision: We decided for the name Gingers.

Item 2

Discussion: We assigned roles to the members of the group. Ana Šalika volunteered to be the group leader and Angelina wanted to be the time-keeper. The others agreed because we all think of her as very appropriate for the role. Ana Jagodic was assigned the role of the reporter. Neža and Ariana agreed to be the group secretaries since they are both experienced.

Decision: Ana Šalika is the leader of the group, Angelina is the time-keeper, Neža and Ariana are secretaries, Ana Jagodic is the reporter.

Item 3

Discussion: We had some problems deciding which picture to chose for our website. We all had different suggestions and they were all very good, so we decided to postpone the decision for a day or two.

Item 4

Discussion: We discussed the time and place of our second meeting.

Decision: We agreed to meet next Thursday at the library at 3 pm.

Present: Angelina Ajnihar, Ana Jagodic, Ariana Smajić, Ana Šalika, Neža Rabič
