1. TITLE
The right of teenage women in Slovenia to an abortion
2. DEFINITION
Abortion has been performed for thousands of years and in every society that has been studied although its legalisation started in the mid to late 1800s.
(National abortion federation http://www.prochoice.org/about_abortion/history_abortion.html (accessedon 27 February 2009))
The abortion debate asks whether it can be morally right to terminate a pregnancy before normal childbirth. But the problem is even bigger if the person who is thinking of performing or had already performed an abortion is a teenager. The rights and privileges of teenagers are diffrent from those of an adult person and we have to ask ourselves what part the parent plays in the decision. We will focus our research only on Slovenia. In the graph chart below we will present some statistics on abortions in Slovenia.
No. 4
Some people think that abortion is always wrong. Some think that abortion is right when the mother's life is at risk. Others think that there is a range of circumstances in which abortion is morally acceptable. (BBC-Religion and ethics-abortus http://www.bbc.co.uk/ethics/abortion/ (accessed on 27 February 2009))
