Item 1:

 

We had three unofficial meetings. The first was with the subject teacher Drago Kos where we discussed about the problem of our PBL work. The second meeting was held in the library where we made the concept for our research work. The last meeting based on dividing the work between the team members on the theoretical and emprirical part.

 

Item 2:

 

The theme of our research will be waste waters in Ljubljana and their impact on the environment. Our thesis is that waters (rivers) in Ljubljana are polluted due to outfall waste waters from factories and households.

 

Item 3:

 

Discussion:

In the theoretical part in which we will define key points such as waste waters and litters. We will sort them in categories. We will focus on how waste waters affect on ecosystem. To figure out the link between industrial zone, concentration of people on a certain area and polluted rivers due to waste waters. With the statistic data we will compare the impact of waste waters on the pollution of rivers through time periods.

Empirical part will be based on two interviews and a poll. Our aim is to provide reliable data from authoritative organs about our problem.

 

Assignments:

Maja and Nataša will contact the Institut of geography and they will take interviews and analyse the poll.

Mojca, Valeria and Vesna will inquire basic data necessary for our research and consult with the subject teacher Drago Kos.

We all agree that Mojca, Valeria and Vesna will work with Maja and Nataša on the questionare for interviews and poll.

Minutes of the 2nd group meeting

1. item:

 

Mojca and Valeria discussed with Mr.Kos about our issue. He recomended some literature and pointed out some directions in which we could research our topic. Nataša and Maja turned to the Institute of Geography and found some helpful literature.

Valeria and Nataša went to Faculty of Philosophy and borrowed a book, the others were at the FDV library, where they got some other literature.

Mojca and Nataša composed an interview for Aleš Smrekar. Valeria and Vesna made a poll, which will be carried out in Zalog. We all agreed on the research questions which we had to set out for our PBL. Our task until next meeting will be carrieng out the poll in Zalog.

We have unanimously decided about 10 research questions and devided the tasks.

Item 1:

 

Maja and Nataša interwieved Mr. Aleš Smrekar from the Institute of geography, where they got some basic theorethical information about waters in Ljubljana. They have also tried to get in touch with different institutions, but they ran into some difficulties due to noncooperation. Mojca, vesna and Valeria went through the literature to find informations relevant to their research questions.

 

Item 2:

 

Until next week Maja and Nataša will carry out a poll about awareness of Ljubljana's population about polluted waters and they will try to get an interwiev from Health department. Mojca, Valeria and Vesna will put the theoretical data in entirety.

 

Item 3:

 

Maja and Nataša ran into some difficulties with interviewing people from different institutions who could potencially help us, so they did not get the informations they needed. For that problem we turned to Mrs. Zorko for possible solutions.

Due to lack of informations until Monday, 20th of NOvember, this meeting has been rescheduled on Thursday, 23th of November.

 

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 28th of November at FDV library.

Minutes of the 4th group meeting

Item 1:

 

Nataša and Maja carried out a poll and analysed it. They have also arranged an interwiev with Mr. Marko Vudrag from Zavod za zdravstveno varovanje Ljubljana. Vesna finished her part of the research questions. Valeria ran into some difficulties with her research questions. Thus we decided, that we will change the content of some questions.

 

Item 2:

 

We all agreed, that Maja will change her question concerning financial support from the institutions due to unwillingness of responsible persons to cooperate. Valeria will adapt her questions too, due to lack of data.

 

Item 3:

 

We all agreed, that we will finish our reserach in the next few days and after that we will put everything into contex (that will occur at the next meeting).

 

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 6th of December at Valeria.
