Minutes of the 1st e-meeting of the group »NO USE FOR A NAME«
Held on 23 February 2008 via Gmail and MSN Messenger
Present: Nina, Ana, Tanja
Absent: Špela and Blaž
Agenda
1.) Finding our topic
2.) Identifying a problem and writing 10 questions
3.) Editing the wiki
Item 1
The members offered many suggestions for our topic in the discussion. We considered them and selected the most suitable one for our problem based learning project titled »Depression, nerves and youth«.
Item 2
After we selected our topic we did brainstorming on the possible questions. The selected questions are published in this wiki page.
Minutes taker: Nina
Minutes of the 2nd e-meeting of the group »NO USE FOR A NAME«
Held on 29 February 2008 via Gmail and MSN Messenger
Present: Ana, Blaž, Nina, Špela, Tanja
Agenda:
1.) Action-item follow-up
2.) Reviewing the questions and rewriting the definition
3.) Distribution of work
4.) Literature
5.) Any other business
Item 1
Everyone did what they were suppose to do but we all agreed that next time we should be more hardworking. There were also a few things we needed to correct from the last week's assignments, such as writing the definition of our problem, minutes of our meetings, correcting spelling mistakes, adding the source under our picture, etc.
Item 2
Since we were quite satisfied with our questions we focused on forming the definition. We found out that there is abundant literature on depression and on young people's vulnerability caused by stress and pressure they get at school, from friends, etc.
Item 3
We reviewed what needed to be done till Saturday,1st of March and distributed the tasks:
- finding the source of the No Use For A Name picture: Nina
- correcting the spelling mistakes and rewriting the minutes: Tanja
- uploading the text on the wiki: Špela
- taking minutes: Ana
- finding resources: each has to focus on two questions and find the best resources
Item 4
During the discussion we all browsed the Internet and found a few articles, links and books that concern our topic.
Item 5
We decided that our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 5th of March, in the library.
Minutes taker: Nina
Chair: Špela
Minutes of the 3rd meeting of the group »NO USE FOR A NAME«
Held on 5 March 2008 at the library
Present: Ana, Nina, Špela, Tanja
Absent: Blaž
Agenda:
1.) Changing our questions
2.) Revising our definition
3.) Looking for literature
4.) Writing a glossary
Item 1:
We focused on our questions and we decided to change some of them. We changed them because some of them were more appropriate for medical studies and not so much for sociological research.
Item 2:
After our first rewriting of the definition we still were not quite satisfied with it so we discussed it a bit more and found a better one.
Item 3:
Ana reported on her Cobiss literature search. She found some useful books. Špela, Tanja and Nina found some articles on the web. We bookmarked them.
Item 4:
We decided that everyone has to find some difficult words and add them to the glossary.
Minutes taker: Nina
Chair: Špela
