Discussion of issues
LOW BIRTH RATE IN SLOVENIA
Definition:
Why are we talking about low birth rate as a problem? Natality is problematic from many points of view. The main reasons are in social and psychological natality basis. Decreasing of natality is the main factor which causes the population to grow old. Preventing the population to grow old could be done only by increasing natality with various meauserments.

Minutes of the 1st group meeting
The first meeting took place at the FDV Library, 8/11/06, at 10 am
Present: All members of the group were present.
Agenda:
1. Discussion about the topic for PBL
2. Distribution of tasks
3. Further meetings
Item 1:
We had two suggestions for a PBL topic: homeless people and low birth rate. Since we all agreed that the problem with homeless people in our country is in general not critical, we choosed to research the low birth rate problem.
Item 2:
We have distributed the tasks but just for a start. Firstly, everyone will make a search for sources and literature to find the data, descriptions and definitions and if it will be necessary we will distribute the tasks in a different order.
Assignments:
Helena will define the problem
Teja will try to find reasons for low birth rate
Katja will list consequences and define them
Aljaž will try to find solutions to the problem
Item 3:
We decided that all our next meetings will take place on this wiki site.
Minutes taker: Teja Kerševan
Chair: Aljaž Barbiš
Progress chaser: Helena Kersnič
Timekeeper: Katja Premrl
Minutes of the 2nd group meeting
The second meeting took place at the FDV Library, 16/11/06, at 10 am
Present: All members of the group were present

Item 1:
We defined the problem of low birth rate in Slovene first so we had to translate it.
Item 2:
We wrote 10 research questions on which we will try to find the answers
Item 3:
We distributed the 10 questions to the members of the group.
Minutes taker: Teja Kerševan
Minutes of the 3rd group meeting
Virtual meeting

It may be that you find the word 'documnet' confusing. Like your two minutes of the meetings, which are two documents that your group produced and which are organised clearly on your group page, you will also post a clearly organised text containing the required PBL elements. You can have a look at other groups' pages to get the idea.

We don't know where exactly to put this. Where is this PBL document?

You page is not quiet anymore and I can see you are making progress :-) Make sure you create a PBL document with the title, problem definition, 10 questions, sources and distribution of tasks. Some of this you have already written but it is in your minutes document. You can cut it from there and paste it into your PBL document.

My suggestions for a PBL research:
- globalisation (cheap labour, etc.)
- birth rate
- radical islamism
