Discussion of issues

Issue 1: Topic of our PBL

Lena: Dear members of my group! As I recall, we tried to figure out what the topic of our PBL should be. Something with reality shows? Any ideas?

Jan: Yea, the idea was: How reality shows such as Bar effect on drinking habbits of young people in slo.?

Lena: Wow, we are cool:) Sounds good to me.

Sandra My idea: effect of reality shows on the value changes between the youth

Martina: appologising for lack of contribution firstly. then, i've been reading some article and got an idea for a topic: the importance of metelkova for ljubljana alternative culture...or sth like that. We could develop something about the importance for musical, subcultural and otherwise progress of metelkova, something about plans of ruining it and such. Of course i agree also with reality shows related topics, just maybe if we found some other ideas to compare.

Lea: Hello there.. I find the metelkova topic interesting, I just hope that we will find appropriate literature for it. But yes, sounds good to me;)

Lena: I also find this title more interesting: The importance of metelkova for Ljubljana. Shall we vote?

Zala: My vote goes to Metelkova:)

Jan: Sorry, but in that case my vote goes to Sandra's suggestion... I think we'll find more literature for that topic rather than Metelkova:)

Our topic is Internet addiction among young in Slovenia

Internet addiction is, in our belief, a grave problem among the young nowadays. Due to the widespreadness of web, many of our generation use the internet excessively and unrationally. Their problem could develop to serious internet addiction, which could lead to problems at developing real life friendships and even health problems.

OUR 10 QUESTIONS

1. How to define addiction in general

2. What is internet, its meaning in our lives and how do we use it

3. How do we interpret e-addiction

4. How does the e-addiction occur

5. Is it possible to define the profile of an e-addict

6. Which are the negative sights in e-addiction (which are physical and psychic effects)

7. Which are the official statistics on e-addiction

8. How does the trend manifest among our collegues

9. Can we compare our and official statistics

10. Which conclusions we draw from our examination of this topic

Item 5:

We also wanted to choose a date for our next meeting, but Sandra proposed to wait until further instructions were made and other members agreed.

I appologise for not participating at our second meeting, unfortunately I hadn't been notified at the right time that the meeting was taking place. Because I had lessons to attend at the same hour our meeting was taking place I was not able to be present. Thank you for your understanding.

No PBL problem yet. What is the reason for that?
