Topic: Intense relation between young people and subcultures Rave and Metal
Our problem: We will try to find out if young people in Slovenia have significant hate or fear towards subcultures Rave and Metal. We depart from the fact that the main culture stereotypically contradicts subcultures which leads to hate. This hate is all around us in the newspapers, on the TV etc..
For an easier study of the problem we will choose the Slovenian population between 15 and 30 years of age. At the beginning we will look for explanations of the basic notions like subculture, rave and metal. Then we will gather some information with a poll and try to find where the main problem is. After that we will make some suggestions about solving the problem.
10 research questions:
1.) What is subculture?
2.) What is Rave?
3.) What is Metal?
4.) Does the look of subculture members influence on the relation between them and the rest of the population?
5.) Why is this relation negative?
6.) Who is more tolerant to members of subcultures? Educated or uneducated people?
7.) Do subcultures reject social values and norms?
8.) Are people informed enough about subcultures?
9.) How does the enviroment impact on beliefs of both sides?
Distribution of tasks:
Rok has questions number 1, 5 and 9.
Benjamin has questions 2, 4 and 7.
Simon has questions 3, 6 and 8.
